Kanthal Wire
Known worldwide as a resistance heating element in electric heating, used in heating devices and industrial furnaces. The iron-chromium-aluminum alloy, also called Kanthal or Kanthal wire, is part of this category.

SiC Heating Element
Operates at high temperatures up to 1400°C. It generates more heat per unit area than nichrome wire, heats up quickly, has a long lifespan, and is easy to use. Widely used in processes such as firing electronic components, sintering powdered metals, annealing cotton material, and melting glass.

Molybdenum Disilicide
Made of a dense cermet material with a metal base, forming an oxide layer on the surface. Usable in air and various atmospheres, it operates up to 1800°C in air and can function intermittently or continuously in an oxidizing atmosphere.

RCF (Refractory Ceramic Fiber)
An alumina-silica ceramic fiber subject to RCF regulations.

Biosoluble Fiber
A fiber primarily composed of silica, calcia, and magnesia. Developed as an environmentally friendly alternative to RCF.

Alumina Fiber
A polycrystalline mullite ceramic fiber manufactured using sol-gel technology, known for its excellent heat resistance.

Firebricks
A non-metallic inorganic material used in the high-temperature parts of various kilns. Its main components are high-melting-point metal oxides, and there are many types depending on the combination.

Siliglass
A high silicate glass fiber with 96% or more SiO2. It can withstand long periods of continuous use at high temperatures of 1,000°C, unlike ordinary glass fiber, rock wool, and asbestos. Due to its thermal durability, chemical stability, and electrical insulation properties, Siliglass has found wide applications. We offer various products, including cloth, tape, sleeves, rope, yarn, mats, and wool.

Alumina Long Fiber
Nichibialf, a continuous alumina fiber, consists of 72% Al2O3 and 28% SiO2, with a fiber diameter of 7 to 10 microns. Made from fine crystal particles, it is highly flexible and can be processed into various products such as cloth and sleeves without reinforcement with other fibers. Nichibialf features excellent heat resistance, processability, high strength, high elasticity, and electrical insulation, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Assembly

Ceramics serve as equipment parts and processing jigs, and they are also combined with metals or ceramics with different properties for mounting and setting. Typical examples include thermocouple protection tubes in high-temperature and high-purity environments, as well as gas piping in electric furnaces. We also manufacture parts that combine various ceramics and other materials.

 

How to use

For front-end process AO-C6R-N2(B): Powder type

For N2(B), add this product to the drum after dyeing and fat-removing processes.
The recommended amount to add is 0.3 to 1.1% of the weight of dry leather. However, if the concentration of the treatment agent in the water is less than 1.1%, use 1.1%.
(A small amount of treatment agent in a large amount of water will not be effective enough. To dissolve the agent easily, raise the water temperature to around 40°C to speed up the process, but do not raise it above 70°C.)

For post-processing AO-C6R-N2(A): Powder type

Preparation of processing solution

Make a mixture of 600mL water + 400mL IPA.

Add one bag of AO-C6R-N2(A) for 1L, dissolve, and it’s done.

How to use

AO-C6R-N2(A) (Used in the same way as the conventional I35.)

Processing method

Just apply it to a cloth, let it dry and you’re done.

Hexavalent chromium removal agent proposed by Eiko

The remover we recommend is a product developed by Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. to comply with European regulations.

*1 As of May 2015, leather parts that may come into contact with the skin and contain 3 ppm or more of hexavalent chromium can no longer be placed on the market.

Major features of the hexavalent chromium remover developed by Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.

• 1. Reverting hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium (reduction action)
• 2. Prevents trivalent chromium from becoming hexavalent chromium (antioxidation)
• 3. The above effects are maintained for a long period of time. (It has been adopted for leather bands by Citizen Watch Co., Ltd., and the long-term effect has been proven.)

Chrome and tanning

“Tanning” is the process of processing animal skin to obtain leather. Tanning can be done using either tannin or trivalent chromium, but most products are tanned with chromium because it produces high-quality leather that is heat-resistant and elastic. Products tanned with trivalent chromium are
harmless and safe immediately after processing, but over time, the trivalent chromium in the product changes to hexavalent chromium due to exposure to ultraviolet rays and temperature changes.
