Description

The MDR (Preset) Series is a 4 or 6 digits, Single or Dual level bi-directional preset counter in a DIN 72 x 144 panel size (Panel Cut-out size: 68 x 140mm). It has a RED LED display with a digit figure size of 14.22 x 8.13mm. This is a very simple counter but highly reliable. This counter has a high count speed of 5kHz maximum and can accept Contact or Non-Contact pulse input. The counter offers two modes: Add/Subtract or Quadrature. It comes with a built-in contact relay and an NPN Open collector. When the counter hits the preset value, this setup sends out an output signal. Preset value can easily be set via the front panel digital switches and there are LED indicators that show the state of the unit. The MDR (Preset) Series allows you to choose between two power sources: AC100/110V or AC200/220V. Additionally, it provides an external power supply of DC12V specifically for sensors. When it comes to resetting the unit, you have the option to do it remotely or through an auto-reset function. Memory is also available for count value retention even during power loss.

Attention

1. Do not feed a voltage signal into the Contact Input (1) terminal and Remote Reset (5) terminal. This may cause damage to the internal circuit of the unit.
2. Contact and Non-contact input cannot be used simultaneously. Please choose only one method of input.
3. For memory type models (MD-122M and MD-144M), during a power failure, LED display will go off. At this time, the counter cannot detect input or reset signals even if signals are received.
4. For models: MD-122M and MD-144M, make sure to short terminals 7 and 8 to enable the memory function. When the counter will be shut down for a long period of time, disconnect terminals 7 and 8 to prevent the discharge of the internal battery. The internal battery is charged when power is supplied to the counter.
5. Use shielded lead wires for the Input terminal and Reset terminal. Also, make the lines from the power source as far as possible from the lines of the Input and Reset lines.
6. In One-shot mode, the counter does not count even if input signal is received during the output time (0.2 or 1 sec).

The count value will increment when input signal is received. When the count value reaches the Preset Value, an output signal is provided by a relay or open collector. The output relay or open collector is actuated at the preset number and it is automatically unlatched in 0.2 or 1 second. The preset value is instantaneously reset to zero and the counter immediately begins to accept input signals again. This type is ideally suited for controls on continuous production applications.

Caution

1. Do not feed a voltage signal into the Contact Input and Remote Reset terminals. This may cause damage to the internal circuit of the unit.
2. Contact and Non-contact input cannot be used simultaneously. Please choose only one method of input.
3. During a power failure, the LED display will go off. At this time, the counter cannot detect input or reset signals even if signals are received.
4. Make sure to short terminals 7 and 8 to enable the memory function. When the counter will be shut down for a long period of time, disconnect terminals 7 & 8 to prevent the discharge of the internal battery. The internal battery is charged when power is supplied to the counter.
5. Simultaneous input of signals for the Add input and Subtract input is not possible. Use a multiplexer (ex. PS-41S) if such function is desired.
6. Use shielded lead wires for the Input terminal and Reset terminal. Also, make the lines from the power source as far as possible from the lines of the Input and Reset lines.

Description of G62 Series

The G62 Series offers a preset counter in a 60 x 60 panel with options for single or dual levels and has a cut-out size of 54 x 54mm. It features a bright two-line Red LED display, making it visible even in dim areas.

The primary display presents the count value, while the secondary one shows the preset value. People trust its consistent performance, as it can smoothly take in different input signals and impressively counts at a rapid speed, reaching up to 10kHz. When it reaches the preset value, the counter signals out, either through its built-in relay or an NPN Open collector.

Adjusting preset values is straightforward with the front panel button. The device draws its power from an AC100-240V source, and it also has a separate DC12V supply specifically designed to support sensors. The G62 ensures data safety with its internal EEPROM memory, even if power cuts off unexpectedly.

The G62 can operate in multiple modes with diverse output configurations. You can reset it directly from the front panel, remotely, or use the auto-reset. It also offers features like prescale settings, adjustable decimal points, and key protection. The front panel effectively keeps out dust and splashes, while terminal screws strengthen the wiring connections, ensuring they remain secure.

Description of E48 Series

The E48 Series offers a versatile electronic preset counter in a compact 48 x 48 DIN design. Its blue STN LCD screen, illuminated with a white backlight, displays a dual-layer setup. The main section highlights the count value with large 10.0 x 5.0 mm figures, while the secondary section reveals preset values. Convenient indicators for preset levels and outputs are easily toggled with a button.Available in multiple configurations, including 1 or 2 preset levels or an added prewarn option, the E48 suits both general and batch counting tasks. You can power it using AC100-240V or DC12-24V, and it provides an external DC12V for sensors. Users can program its various modes, such as counting up to 10kHz speed, input signals, and decimal point positions, directly from the front panel. For data security, an internal EEPROM memory ensures count retention during power interruptions. Its front panel boasts IP54 protection, and terminal screws firmly anchor the wiring.Given its diverse features, the E48 stands out in applications like packaging, converting, and cut-to-length processes. Plus, it meets CE and RoHS standards.

Description

The E60 Series represents a flexible electronic preset counter created to fit a panel size of 60 x 60. It features a Blue STN LCD display with a white backlight. The display consists of six digits, divided into a Main display (showing the count value with a figure size of 10.0 x 5.0 mm) and a Sub-display (showing the preset values). In addition to the count display, there are indicators for preset levels and output status, which you can switch between using a button press. The E60 Series offers different preset options: 1 or 2 levels presets, or 1 level with a prewarn feature. This flexibility makes it suitable for various counting applications, whether it’s general counting or total/batch counting.

The counter runs on AC100-240V power and needs an external DC12V power source for sensors. It’s capable of counting in both directions (Quadrature) or performing addition/subtraction, and it triggers the internal output relays when it reaches the preset value(s).

You can fully customize functional modes, operation modes, and output modes through a user-friendly menu-driven display using the front panel buttons. Functional modes include count speed (up to 10kHz), input signal type (Contact/Open Collector or Voltage), prescaling, decimal point position, and free writing.

To prevent losing count due to unexpected power outages, the E60 Series includes built-in EEPROM memory. Its front panel has an IP54 rating to shield it, and the wiring connections are firmly secured using terminal screws.

These features make the E60 Series an exceptionally versatile and functional preset counter suitable for a wide range of applications, including packaging (batching), converting (prescale), cut-to-length (preset + prewarn), and many more.

• The counter won’t respond to count or reset signals for the first 100 ms after powering up.
• If you choose Individual Add/Subtract Input, you can’t input additive and subtractive signals simultaneously.
• Make sure to use shielded wires for input and output connections.
• Try to keep input/output wires separated from power wires as much as possible.
• Keep wires for short circuits (jumpers) as brief as you can.
• If you notice noise on input or power wires, consider using a noise suppressor or a power source noise filter.

Dustproof Cover (Optional)

If you plan to use the counter in harsh environmental conditions like dust or splashes, it’s advisable to use a protective dustproof cover. If you use the cover, make sure the panel cutout is 70 x 70 mm.

Description

The E21 Series is a flexible DIN-sized 72 x 72 preset counter and tachometer that can communicate with other devices. It offers full programmability and can manage complex manufacturing processes, including multi-step operations like batching, cut-to-length, and packaging.

This series features a dual-line LED display with six digits. The upper line uses RED LEDs with a figure size of 10.0 x 5.5mm to display Count values (preset, batch, total) and Tachometer readings. The lower line uses GREEN LEDs with figures measuring 8.0 x 4.0mm to display the Preset values.

The E21 Series operates on AC100 – 240V power and has the option to connect an external DC12V power supply for sensors. It can accept Contact, Open Collector, or DC Voltage input signals and offers various counting modes, including Addition, Subtraction, Addition/Subtraction, and Quadrature (bidirectional). Counting speed is adjustable from 30Hz to 8kHz.It includes an integrated output relay that activates when preset values are met, and it also provides an NPN Open Collector output. You can tailor the operation and output modes to fit intricate processes. You can reset it using the front reset button or remotely.

The front panel features LED indicators for easy identification of the current display. Other programmable features include Prescale, Decimal Point Position, Key Lock, and Initial Value at resetting. The E21 Series has a built-in EEPROM memory that stores count values and settings even if there’s a sudden power loss. It utilizes an RS-485 Serial interface for data communication, and wiring connections are firmly established with terminal screws.
