2. For the A1 and A2 type standard test pieces, the model number on the left of the slash indicates the depth of the artificial flaw, and on the right, the thickness of the plate (in micrometers).<br />
3. For category 2 of Type A standard test pieces, the strength of the magnetic field in which the magnetic powder pattern appears is higher than in category 1.<br />
4. Type C standard test pieces are used when it is difficult to apply Type A standard test pieces dimensionally, for example, in narrow areas such as the bevel surface of a weld.<br />

<h2>Use Purpose of BL 30/100</h2>
<ul>
<li>The JIS Z 2329 standard outlines performance criteria for foaming liquids.</li>
<li>Users must apply a test piece to ensure the liquid foils at a pressure differential from atmospheric pressure of 5×10³ Pa or less.</li>
<li>They attach the test piece to a container or test plate, sealing the 5mm holes with adhesive aluminum foil tape.</li>
<li>For the pressurization method, they increase the pressure step by step to find the minimum required to generate bubbles through the test piece&#8217;s holes.</li>
<li>For the vacuum method, they cover the test plate and test piece with a vacuum box, then evacuate the air to identify the lowest pressure at which bubbles appear.</li>
</ul>
