When gas containing mist enters the separator, the vortex baffle creates centrifugal force that drives the mist and solids downward toward the inner wall of the vessel, and this motion allows the system to separate them efficiently. Below the vortex baffle, the dish-shaped baffle then sustains the swirling motion and also blocks any liquid in the pool from re-entering the gas stream. After that, the purified gas turns upward and finally exits through the outlet nozzle.

This is a compact silencer that combines a multi-diffuser section with a sound-absorbing section.

Purpose

When we install multiple diffusers, they weaken the pressure gradient and the shock waves in the mixing region between the released gas and the atmosphere, and as a result, they lower the shear stress and consequently reduce the overall noise.

We combine the diffuser and the sound-absorbing sections, and as a result, the system effectively reduces intense mid- to high-frequency airflow noise. Pressure loss is usually around 10 to 50 kPa.

What is the odor index?

The odor index is a numerical expression of the level of an odor using the human sense of smell. The dilution factor when the original odor is diluted with odorless air until it is no longer detectable to the human sense of smell is called the odor concentration, and the odor index is calculated by multiplying the common logarithm by 10. The Offensive Odor Control Act introduces odor index regulations.

The high-temperature, toxic gases generated when sewage sludge is incinerated are absorbed using caustic soda, and the treated water is used to reduce humidity.

High-temperature, harmful gases (HCl, SO2) generated by municipal waste incinerators are first cooled in a cooling chamber, and then absorbed using caustic soda. In addition, cooling water is used at the top of the equipment to dehumidify the air, preventing white smoke.

With air pollution now a social issue, harmful gases such as SOx (sulfur oxides), NOx (nitrogen oxides), and HCl (hydrogen chloride gas) emitted from business establishments are subject to strict regulations.

Flue gas desulfurization equipment for power generation facilities

Exhaust gases from power generation boilers, diesel engines, and other sources contain SOx (sulfur oxides), and the system removes these components by bringing them into contact with an alkaline agent. First, the system cools the high-temperature, harmful gases in a pre-cooling chamber, and then it sends them into the desulfurization unit. Inside the desulfurization tower, the gases meet the circulating fluid supplied from above onto trays (perforated plates), so the gas and liquid contact each other intensively and the system absorbs and removes SOx efficiently.

To control the concentration of reactive salts, the operator continuously extracts part of the circulating fluid from the desulfurization unit. This circulating fluid contains many solids, such as magnesium sulfite and unburned carbon, which act as COD components. Therefore, the system first sends the fluid to the oxidation tank and reduces COD efficiently there, and then it passes the fluid through an SS filter to separate the solids before the operator finally discharges the treated liquid.

This equipment removes and recovers ammonia from wastewater, thereby satisfying nitrogen regulations and recovering valuable ammonia.
