Model 37703 Low Temperature Furnace

Model 37703 Low Temperature Furnace is designed specifically to realize and maintain the freeze plateau of Indium, Tin and Zinc Fixed Point Cells, for calibration of thermometers on ITS-90. The aluminum furnace core, into which the fixed point cell is inserted, is heated by the 3-Zone heaters in noninductive winding controlled individually by the high-resolution controllers (zero-cross control) using platinum thermocouple, and this provides a very low thermal gradient along the core length and low noise at calibration. The variable set point over-temperature trip function can prevent a temperature runaway of the furnace.

Model 37702 High Temperature Furnace

Model 37702 High Temperature Furnace is designed specifically to realize and maintain the freeze plateau of Zinc, Aluminum and Silver Fixed Point Cells, for calibration of thermometers on ITS-90. The furnace core is a specially designed heat pipe, which provides a very low thermal gradient along the core length. The heat pipe is heated by radiant heat generated from the heater unit in noninductive winding, which is controlled by the high-resolution controller (zero-cross control) using type R thermocouple. The variable set point over-temperature trip can prevent a temperature runaway of the furnace.

The above 2 furnaces were jointly developed with National Institute of Advanced Science and Technology (AIST/NMIJ) to realize the defining points of ITS-90 using the high-purity metal fixed point cells.

Features

These cells were jointly developed with National Institute of Advance Science and Technology (AIST/NMIJ) to realize the defining points of ITS-90. Cells are designed specifically to realize the liquid-solid equilibrium of certain high-purity metal elements. Cells are available as sealed or open cells. All cells contain the high-purity thermometric metals in graphite crucibles, surrounded by an envelope of pure fused quartz. Sealed cells are completely enclosed in quartz and filled with an argon gas, which assumes a pressure of one standard pressure (101325 Pa) at the freeze point. Sealed cells are consequently protected against contamination and the influence of ambient pressure, and are easy to handle, as there is no need to prepare an inert gas supply-exhaust system. A series of Model 37000 are sealed cells, and can be used for the calibration of SPRTs.

BB(S) 962/2.5 is the Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer jointly developed with National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST/NMIJ) as an interpolation device for measurements from +660℃ to approximately +962℃. Employing a sensing element with a single helix coil structure (Japan Pat. No.3380523) provides superior stability at high temperature and vibration resistance. Adopting a sapphire coil frame and a sapphire sheath has improved both electrical insulation and the contamination of the sensing element.

BB 660/25.5 is the Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometer jointly developed with National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST/NMIJ) as an interpolation device for measurements from -190℃ to approximately +660℃. Employing a sensing element with a single helix coil structure (Japan Pat. No.3380523) provides superior stability at high temperature and high resistance to vibration. It can also provide smaller self-heating temperature rise and high response.

Yamari Validation System is designed to automatically validate that the autoclaves used in pharmaceutical companies are processed at the specified temperatures and eliminates opportunities for recording false data. The system consisting of a temperature calibration bath, a temperature indicator, a data logger, temperature sensors and a personal computer, guarantees the measuring accuracy of ±0.5℃ or less, which is in conformity with the requirements of FDA-cGM. TQSoft from TQ Solutions Limited www.tqsolutions.net has been installed on this validation system.

Cables primarily employed for heating appliances and fixtures such as semiconductor platens, with MgO insulation, 316SS or Inconel 600 sheath, and either one or two identical resistance elements. The cables have both high electrical insulation resistance and high thermal conductivity, and provide excellent flexibility and durability.

■　The bimetal type Multipoint Thermocouple
Each thermocouple is fixed to the bimetals. The bimetals spread out in tight contact with the inside wall of the protecting tube at the operating temperature and the pads that thermocouple are fixed are also pressed against the inside wall of the protecting tube.

1. The thermocouple can be inserted to the protecting tube smoothly because bimetals are closed at the normal temperature.

■　Waterwall Tubeskin Thermocouple

Chemical cleaning to remove scale from inner surface of boiler tubes has periodically been conducted to prevent accidents of overheating, hydrothermal eruption and blowout breakage. In order to minimize the cleaning frequency, appropriate grasp of timing of the chemical cleaning is important, and accurate temperature measurement of waterwall tubes is required. “Embedded-in-Grooves” type waterwall tubeskin thermocouples, co-developed with the Central　Research Institute of Electric Power Industry in Japan for high durability, accuracy and workability, have been widely used by customers.

Fig.1 shows the “Embedded in Grooves” type thermocouple measured in agreement with the actual tube surface temperature and two other types of thermocouples, type I and type II ,measured much higher than that.

■ Wafer Sensor

This wafer sensor was developed to accurately reproduce the temperature profile of silicon wafers in wafer processing equipment. Users have now challenging us to further improve its quality by achieving a reproducibility of 0.1℃.

Standard Connector (Model: DL)

Solid pin plug and socket are made of extension and compensating grade alloys which are housed in color-coded heat-resistance plastic shells. Select connector in accordance with the type of thermocouple to be used.

Miniature Connector (Model: DS)

Except smaller flat bar plug is used, construction is similar to that of standard connector. Recommended for small size THERMIC up to 3.2mm O.D.

Use the compression fitting to fix sheathed thermocouple or RTD. The compression fitting consists of three parts, a compression cap nut, a compression Teflon cotter, and a compression seat. As a Teflon cotter is compressed by a compression cap nut,, it squishes down the sheath. Please consult us for pressure above 5kg/cm.

Duplex Wire

This is the most typical resistance temperature detector comprising of metal protection tube in which the mica type RTD element is embedded with ceramic insulators and lead wires. There are two types, standard type and vibration-proof type. It has high stability and reproducibility because of its simple construction.

The demand for measuring very high temperature in research laboratories, specialized furnaces, and in other high temperature experimental and industrial applications has grown dramatically in recent years. In response to this demand, Yamari Industries has been providing its Tungsten Rhenium thermocouples and expert knowledge to customers needing accurate measurements of high temperatures in a wide range of fields. Now, Yamari is pleased to announce it has developed a new type of Tungsten Rhenium thermocouple, “VAC-Curate 2100”, in conjunction with a world class Japanese manufacturer of quality alloys and can supply thermocouple elements conforming to ASTM standard E988-96 in matched pairs.

Advantages of the Tungsten Rhenium Thermocouple

• Compared to platinum elements, the tungsten rhenium thermocouple has a high and relatively linear thermal emf output.
• Tungsten Rhenium can measure temperature over a range extending to 2,300℃.
• Noble metal thermocouples are usually used in oxidizing or inert atmosphere. Tungsten Rhenium thermocouples are suitable for use in reducing or inert atmosphere and in vacuum or nuclear environments.

Characteristics of the VAC-Curate 2100 Thermocouple

The graphs below compare conventional Tungsten Rhenium thermocouple against Yamari’s VAC-Curate 2100 thermocouple. As shown, the VAC-Curate 2100 outperforms conventional Tungsten Rhenium both on initial tolerance and emf drift.

Features

A new type K thermocouple conductor was jointly developed with a world-class manufacturer of thermoelectric wire to improve long-term stability and service life at elevated temperature in reducing atmosphere. AD-THERMIC is a MI thermocouple cable comprising of this advanced thermocouple conductor and Inconel 600 sheath with MgO insulation. An excellent long-term stability and longer service life compared to the conventional MI thermocouple cables have been proven on our field test using heat treatment furnace and reducing furnace.

Features

Ceramics-tubed wires or mineral insulated cables have conventionally been used in harsh environments. However, they posed serious problems in flexibility, connections, and the ratio of outer cable diameter to conductor diameter. Yamari has launched a flexible ceramic-insulated thermocouple wire, achieved through a new fabrication process, SLPC using a liquid phase process similar to an electrostatic spattering method.
