Electric–Air Balance Control

In pneumatic balance arms, when the load becomes heavier or when using an automatic-type arm, the swinging resistance of the air cylinder, the resistance of LM guides and roller guides all increase, making the operating load heavier.
To solve this issue, we have developed an Electric–Air Balance Control Unit.

A load sensor is installed on the gripping section. By simply holding it to move up or down, the operator can control the pneumatic balance arm with very light operating force.

Operation Principle

The operating force transmitted from the sensor switch is sent through the control circuit to the electric regulator as an electrical signal.
This signal is then sent to the pilot regulator, making the lifting and lowering operation consistently light.
In addition, the current pressure is monitored by a pressure switch and fed back to the control circuit.
The system recognizes this feedback pressure as the current state, and by increasing or decreasing it, enables extremely smooth and light operation for lifting and lowering.

Precautions

When using this product, please ensure that it is operated within a range that avoids overall impact or shock.
Applying strong impact may shorten the lifespan of the rails or rail station, or may cause damage to individual components.
Do not pull the load at an angle.
Doing so may cause the rail station to tip over.
As an option, it is possible to secure the unit using anchor bolts (see the right-side illustration).
If the load exceeds 500 kg, notification in accordance with crane regulations is required.

A ceiling crane or similar lifting equipment is required for assembly.
Please prepare the necessary equipment depending on the installation conditions.

Our Knight Rail System differs in some specifications from the Knight Rail System manufactured in the United States.
Warranty claims should be processed through our company.

Wear on trolleys and rollers is not covered by warranty.

For Knight Rail Systems manufactured by Syntec, please contact us for details.
If not used under the conditions specified in the handling and operation manuals for aluminum or steel rail systems, the product may not be eligible for warranty coverage.

Repairs performed overseas are considered within our warranty scope; however, travel, transportation, and shipping expenses must be borne by the customer.

Steel Rails

Steel rails are characterized by their compact size yet high load capacity.

They are equipped with drop-prevention pins, ensuring safety even if the trolley fails.
Hangers and end trucks use patented rail-through bolts, reducing the risk of falling.
The trolleys have an anti-check-up mechanism (prevents lifting), eliminating rattling during product transport.
Side rollers are installed on the trolleys, preventing lateral wobbling.
Telescopes and rails can also be used vertically.
The tool rail is ergonomically designed to minimize the force required for horizontal transfer of heavy loads.
Smooth operation allows heavy items to be moved with less effort.

There are four types of Knight steel rails:

Aluminum Rails

A rail system is a surface-transport system composed of X- and Y-axis movement.
In particular, aluminum rails are lightweight, offer excellent travel performance, do not corrode, and—thanks to precision extrusion—provide highly accurate operability.
Installation is also simple: all components are constructed using dedicated brackets, eliminating the need to drill holes, cut, or weld the rails.

By combining the rail system with an air balancer, 3-dimensional transport of heavy objects becomes possible.

Both aluminum and steel rails are equipped with fall-prevention pins, ensuring safety even if a trolley were to fail.
The hangers and end trucks use through-rail bolts (patented), which significantly reduce the risk of falling.
Trolleys feature an anti-kick-up mechanism (prevents lifting), eliminating rattling during transport.
Trolleys are also equipped with side rollers, preventing horizontal sway.
Telescopes and rails can be used vertically as well.
The tool rail is ergonomically designed to minimize the force required to move loads horizontally.
Smooth operation allows heavy objects to be transported with much less effort.

Accessories (Aluminum)

【End Cap】
The end cap is mainly intended to prevent dust intrusion, and adding an intermediate stopper can further serve as a safety stopper.
However, never use it as an impact-absorbing shock stopper.

【Mid-Rail Stopper】
Used to divide the working area on the rail track.
When used together with an end cap, it must not be used as a shock-absorbing stopper.

【End Cap with Damper】
A device that absorbs impact using a spring damper.
The spring damper reduces the impact applied when the trolley hits the end cap.

【Splice Kit】
A kit used to connect running rails in the longitudinal direction.
Please make sure to use this kit when connecting rails.

Load Trolley (Aluminum)

We offer several types of trolleys depending on the application.
There are dedicated trolleys for 2-inch, 4-inch, and 8-inch aluminum rails.

The maximum load capacities for each trolley type are as follows:

2-inch — 180 kg
4-inch — 250 kg
8-inch — 490 kg

Please select the appropriate trolley depending on the suspension type and application.
For example, Knight air balancers require the use of RTA4001 or RTA4501 trolleys.

The Steel JB Arm is available in floor-mounted and wall-mounted types. It uses Knight Steel Rail, and by attaching a hoist or air balancer, it can easily perform three-dimensional movements.

The Banjo Arm uses an air balancer and is combined with a rotating arm, thereby securing a large working area.

(T-Arm Auto Balance Arm)

(Lightweight T-Arm)

In recent years, modularization has advanced in automobile, two-wheeler, and parts factories, leading to increased component weight. Therefore, by reducing the equipment weight and combining it with our Knight Rail System, this arm is designed to allow for light movement not only vertically but also in the X and Y directions. The balancing method can also be combined with our unique auto-balance system. We also design and manufacture the attachment section. Please inquire for details. Primarily, tightening tools can be attached to the arm tip to perform tightening work from above, below, or the side.

(Knight Torque Arm)

The Knight Torque Arm is used by attaching a pneumatic or electric tightening tool to its tip. It prevents wrist and arm fatigue by counteracting the weight of the tool and preventing kickback during tightening.

(Electric T-Arm)

In addition to the conventional air-powered type, we have developed the Electric T-Arm series. The load capacity is consistent with the air type, ranging from 40 kg to 650 kg. Operation can be selected between lever lifting/lowering type and step operation.

Slider Ace

The Slider Ace is advantageous for installation in locations with low ceiling heights, as it does not require vertical space.
The workpiece suspension section is made of rope, eliminating concerns about scratching people or products.

Control Circuit: Like other T-Arms, you can choose between Auto-Balance and Pressure Adjustment Balance.

Electric Type

A new product born from years of technical expertise! Electric Balancer

In addition to the conventional air-powered type, we have developed the Electric T-Arm series.

Operation is performed using the lifting/lowering lever.
The lifting/lowering speed can be adjusted in proportion to the speed of the lever operation.

By attaching the optional balance handle, operation in balance mode is also possible, similar to a Servo Balancer.

We will propose the optimal system to match the customer’s specifications and installation environment.

It is developed to avoid the phenomenon where the operating load becomes heavier as the load capacity increases (which occurs with the air type).
Since various interlocks can be added through electric control, this frees the user from dependence solely on expertise in safety measures or air circuits.
Can be selected as floor-mounted or overhead suspension.
The load capacity is 75 kg to 350 kg.

In the standard specifications, the end attachment is a hook. Fixtures such as the self-supporting type or movable type are optional.

Furthermore, the T-Arm comes standard with the auto-balance function. Even if the product weight changes, no varied settings are required.
Since it is air-controlled and does not use electric control, maintenance is hassle-free.
