By optimizing the arrangement and combination of the internal magnets and magnetic-field configuration, the unit can handle various types of grinding debris and sludge, including fine sludge, weakly magnetic materials, and needle-shaped or thread-shaped shavings.
Depending on the application, an optional ultra-high magnetic-force drum with a maximum surface magnetic flux density of 120 mT (1,200 G) can also be manufactured.

A newly designed rubber roller is installed, with improvements made to the rubber material, hardness, and squeezing method.
Thanks to the optimized magnetic-array design, sludge is squeezed uniformly before being discharged, greatly improving the durability of the rubber roller.
Because the rubber roller uses a forced-drive mechanism, the standard model can also handle high-viscosity oil-based grinding fluids.

Point 4 — Industry-Leading Low Center-of-Gravity Design!

Thanks to its industry-leading low center-of-gravity design, the inlet is positioned very low, allowing the unit to be installed with washing machines in a wide variety of installation environments.
Fluid can also enter from the top of the main tank, making the unit suitable even for washing machines where piping cannot be installed.
In addition, the motor can be mounted on either the left or right side according to the available installation space.

Neodymium Magnets

Anisotropic Type

• This type provides strong magnetic force in a specific direction. However, its magnetic orientation limits its use in other directions.

Isotropic Type

• Although this type provides weaker magnetic force, it produces the same magnetic force in every direction. Therefore, designers can use it in any orientation.

Temperature Characteristics

• Ferrite magnets experience relatively significant thermal demagnetization. They withstand heat better than neodymium magnets; however, their magnetic force decreases considerably above 100°C.
• At temperatures around 200°C, the magnet generally recovers most of its original magnetic force after returning to room temperature. However, while operating at 200°C, its magnetic force decreases to approximately half.

Advantages

• Ferrite magnets offer a low price because iron oxide, their main raw material, is inexpensive.
• In addition, their sintered construction provides excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance.
• Their high coercive force also makes them resistant to demagnetization and provides stable magnetic performance.
• For standard products or large production lots, ferrite magnets are among the most economical magnet options.

Disadvantages

• Ferrite magnets have relatively low mechanical strength and can crack or break like ceramics.

Rectifier for Electromagnetic Lifting Magnets

• The rectifier converts the AC power input into DC power and supplies it to the electromagnetic lifting magnet.
• A rectifier is essential when using an electromagnetic lifting magnet.

※ When transporting workpieces with flat contact surfaces, or materials that tend to retain residual magnetism, the workpiece may remain attached even after switching OFF the power supply. The automatic demagnetization function solves this problem by briefly applying current in the opposite direction (reverse excitation) to cancel the remaining magnetism.
※ For additional safety, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is also available.

Rectangular Electromagnetic Lifting Magnet

• Electrical controls allow operators to attach and release materials remotely.
• Moreover, this compact yet powerful magnet handles materials efficiently as a single unit. For larger steel plates, operators can connect multiple magnets to a lifting beam and control them simultaneously.
• Therefore, the system requires a rectifier.

Cam-Type Permanent Magnetic Lifting Magnet

• Because it uses a permanent magnet, no power supply is required. Therefore, there is no risk caused by power outages or electrical distribution failures.
• In addition, the cam mechanism allows easy attachment and release operation.

※ The rated lifting capacity is shown as 1/4 of the maximum holding force, corresponding to a safety factor of 4.

Mini Balance Board

• This compact balance board allows you to position lifting magnets while avoiding holes, projections, and other obstacles on workpieces where the lifting magnet cannot be placed at the center of gravity.
• In addition, it is ideal for workpieces whose shape prevents the lifting magnet from being positioned at the center of gravity or where sufficient magnetic contact area cannot be secured.

Application Example 1

When the center of the workpiece (center of gravity) has holes, grooves, or other recessed/raised features that prevent installation of a lifting magnet, the balance board allows you to avoid these areas, maintain proper balance, and lift the workpiece with lifting magnets.

Suitable for:

• Transporting workpieces with a flange-shaped upper surface and a hollow center.
• Transporting mold components and similar workpieces with grooves or holes machined around the center of gravity.

Application Example 2

When the center of the workpiece (center of gravity) has a boss or other protruding component that prevents installation of a lifting magnet, the balance board allows you to avoid the projection, maintain proper balance, and lift the workpiece with lifting magnets.

Suitable for:

• Transporting workpieces with a boss at the center of gravity.
• Transporting machined parts or finished products with protruding features or attached components around the center-of-gravity area.

The holding force varies depending on conditions such as the material, shape, surface finish, and plate thickness of the workpiece. In addition, if full-surface contact is not possible, the workpiece cannot be held at its center of gravity, or strong impacts occur during transport, select a model with an appropriate safety margin. Please consult us in advance regarding specific operating conditions.

[Waterproofing / Rust Prevention]
The electromagnetic holder is not waterproof. Furthermore, the holding surface does not have a rust-prevention treatment; therefore, it cannot be used in environments such as clean rooms. However, custom specifications suitable for such environments can also be manufactured. Please consult us for details.

[Residual Magnetic Attraction]
Even after switching the power OFF, a small amount of residual magnetic holding force remains. If the mass of the held object exceeds this residual magnetic force, there is no problem. Hybrid Electromagnetic Holder

• This holder combines the magnetic force of a permanent magnet and an electromagnet, providing a high holding force despite its compact size.
• By switching between energized, de-energized, and reverse-energized states, the holding force can be controlled in three levels: strong, medium, and off. Therefore, you can select the appropriate holding level according to the application.
• When the power is turned off, the permanent magnet continues to provide holding force. Therefore, the holder can be used for magnetic brakes, stopper components, and handling fixtures/tools. In addition, reverse energization allows the magnetic holding force to be switched OFF.
