It is said that 95% of the world’s oil supply is naphthenic oil, with paraffinic oil accounting for less than 5%.
Naphthenic oils contain a lot of impurities such as asphalt and sulfur, which makes their molecular structure chemically fragile, prone to deterioration, and poor lubricating ability.
On the other hand, paraffinic oils contain almost no impurities and have a stable molecular structure, which gives them unparalleled properties in terms of adhesion, heat resistance, and water resistance, as well as a long oil life and high lubricating ability.
・Omega’s unique special additive “Mega Light”
In addition to commonly used additives, Omega lubricants contain Omega’s proprietary special additive, “Megalite.” Omega lubricants, which are made by adding Megalite to carefully selected paraffin base oil, exhibit excellent properties in terms of preventing friction, heat generation, oxidation, corrosion, scattering, gum formation, foaming, problems caused by moisture, and viscosity changes caused by temperature. Megalite is completely harmless to the human body, and when exposed to high temperatures of approximately 1100°C, its components vaporize, leaving no residue (oxidation products).
