Generally, when switching an inductive load with contacts, a surge voltage occurs due to a sudden change in current (dv/dt), causing contact wear/consumption, and resulting in malfunctions in electronic circuits due to noise.
The Spark Quencher absorbs electromagnetic energy generated from the inductive load, prevents discharge between contacts, and can suppress contact protection and the generation of electromagnetic waves (EMI).

Usage Examples

(a) Highly effective for contact protection and noise generation prevention, and is the most common way to use it. The same usage applies to both DC (Direct Current) circuits and AC (Alternating Current) circuits.
(b) By attaching it to the secondary side of the rectifier, it suppresses rapid voltage rise (dv/dt) and prevents element destruction.
(c) By attaching it to the secondary side of the transformer, it is effective in preventing noise caused by inter-winding capacitance.
(d) Connection for noise prevention caused by motor loads. By using a product wired for three-phase connection, the number of wires can be reduced.

In addition, there are various methods for noise prevention by combining the Spark Quencher with components such as choke coils, varistors, and diodes, so please consider them.
