A five-way cock is used for the operating valve, and in addition to filtration and cleaning, it is also possible to rinse with water, which is not possible with a three-way cock. This allows the filter media to stabilize after cleaning and also removes dirt.
The main body material is available in SS/tar, SS/FRP lining, or SUS. Filter media is either filter sand or ceramic media depending on the application and conditions.
Structure
This is a commonly used filtration method in which filter media is packed on top of a support layer such as gravel in a sealed tank, and water is pressure-fed from top to bottom to filter.
Depending on the application and conditions, special filter media such as sand, anthracite, garnet, or artificial zeolite or ceramic are used, and filtration performance is further improved by layering media with different particle sizes, specific gravities, and types.
Contaminants captured in the filter media layer are regenerated by backwashing the water flow from bottom to top, and filtration resumes.
