High-accuracy mass flow rate measurement
This air flowmeter achieves an accuracy of through high-speed arithmetic processing. Specifically, the multivariable sensor detects process changes quickly. The system then applies a gas expansion compensation coefficient to the data. Additionally, it uses a compression coefficient for precise flow rate calculation. Consequently, these calculations ensure highly reliable monitoring and management. Therefore, the device handles complex gas behaviors effectively in real-time.
Auto ranging function
Differential pressure flowmeters typically require users to set an instantaneous flow rate range. Specifically, technicians must calculate differential pressure based on fluid conditions. However, factory air flow values remain unknown in most cases. This monitoring flowmeter solves that problem with an auto-ranging function. Consequently, the device memorizes the maximum flow rate during actual operation. It then automatically sets the appropriate range without manual input. Therefore, users can achieve precise measurements even without initial data.
Wide flow rate range
This air flowmeter handles a wide range up to 100:1 effectively. Therefore, it serves as an ideal choice for varying flow rates. This feature eliminates concerns about measuring extremely high or low flows. Specifically, users can select a meter diameter matching the factory air pipe. Consequently, the installation process becomes much simpler for engineers. Furthermore, the device maintains high accuracy across the entire measurement span. Therefore, you do not need different meters for different flow conditions.
Enhanced display function
The LCD display on the front face can selectively display the instantaneous flow rate value, total flow rate value, and flow velocity value. The multivariable sensor’s pressure value for calculating the compensation can also be shown on the display making it usable as a pressure gauge monitor.
Flexibly adapts to site installation conditions
This flowmeter can be mounted on both horizontal piping (photograph at top of this page) and vertical piping (Photograph 1) in the factory air piping system. A separate type flowmeter (Photograph 2) can be mounted in cases where line-based piping is laid at a height of 3 to 5 meters from the floor in each building.


The flowmeter structure is unlikely to cause deposits and clogging along the flow path and constrictor section; and the required upstream straight pipe length is as short as 0.5D so the flowmeter can be installed in diverse locations.
Functions ideal for energy-saving activities
Cost display function
During our factory air energy-saving activity, we frequently receive comments from customers saying “everyone thinks that factory air is free.” To tackle this issue, we incorporated a function to roughly indicate how much (yen or dollar) the current flow rate costs by setting a factory air unit price. Displaying the cost promotes an awareness of cost issues among the on-site workers.
Leak check function
This function calculates the leakage rate (%) of air based on the pressure inside the pipe, which is measured by a built-in pressure sensor.
Air management, such as patrolling or implementing countermeasures for leakage when a preset leakage rate is exceeded, can be achieved without using a pressure gauge or the like.
