[Details of Permanent Magnet Holders]

  • The holding force values are based on SS400 steel, 10 mm plate thickness, and a ground-finished surface.
  • 9.8 N = 1 kgf.
  • At the specified maximum operating temperature, the holder maintains approximately 80% of its holding force at room temperature. The short-term maximum temperature indicates a temperature that can be tolerated for brief, intermittent use.
  • T-bolts are not included. They are available as optional accessories.
  • The magnets are exposed on the holding surfaces of CPH-HT/HTX models.
  • Pay attention to the screw-in depth. Screwing too deeply may cause the magnet to come off.

Precautions for Selecting and Using Magnetic Holders (Permanent Magnet Holders)

  • Magnetic holders that use permanent magnets may lose magnetic force when the continuous operating temperature exceeds 80°C, and the magnetic force may not fully recover. Therefore, when using the holder in a high-temperature environment, check the product specifications or contact us for consultation.
  • The maximum holding force refers to the value obtained under optimal conditions based on the material, shape, and surface finish of the workpiece. Sufficient holding force may not be obtained under the following conditions:
    1. The entire holding surface cannot make contact because the workpiece surface has grooves, holes, uneven areas, or similar features.
    2. Sudden acceleration occurs while transporting a magnetically held workpiece.
    3. Foreign matter, such as cutting chips or liquid, is present on the surface of the workpiece or product.
  • When any of the above conditions apply, include an appropriate safety margin when selecting the required holding force.
  • Permanent magnet holders are not waterproof or water-resistant structures. Please contact us before using them while submerged in liquid.
