Features
This modular system provides non-contact, continuous, online measurement of critical process parameters such as weight per unit area, coating weight, thickness, and moisture content. It also offers recording and control capabilities.
The sensor traverses the web product, measuring across its entire width. A variety of sensors are available to suit different measurement targets.
[Beta Ray] Weight/Thickness GraviMat DFI
This system uses a beta-ray transmission attenuation method. The weight measurement control system continuously measures the unit area weight (g/m²) of a moving web in a non-contact, non-destructive manner. (International patent obtained)
[Soft X-ray] Weight/Thickness: Gravimat FMX-T
This is an X-ray transmission absorption sensor with an X-ray tube voltage of less than 5kV. (No radiation handling qualifications or permits are required.)
[Infrared] Moisture content and weight Infrascope NIR
This is an infrared absorption sensor. The Infrascope NIR measures the weight and moisture content of web products with a single sensor by analyzing the infrared energy of transmitted or reflected light from the web product.
[Near-infrared] Moisture content/weight Infralot IMF
This is a near-infrared sensor. The Infralot IMF optically analyzes energy in the near-infrared region and continuously measures moisture content and weight with a single sensor.
[Microwave Resonance] Moisture Content Aqualot HMF
This is a microwave transmission absorption sensor. Aqualot HMF uses microwave application technology to measure web moisture non-contact.
[Laser Trigonometry] Thickness: Calipro DML
This is a laser triangulation sensor. The Kalipro DML optical system applies laser triangulation online to measure the thickness of web products and coatings with high precision.
[Lightband light blocking] Thickness: Calipro DMS
The product is illuminated with a light band as it travels along a high-precision guide roll, and its thickness is calculated based on the difference between the roll distance and the un-shielded dimension.
[White Light Interferometry] Thickness Optoscope WLI
This system uses the interference phenomenon of white light to measure the thickness of transparent coatings and single-layer films on a film. It can measure both the thickness of each layer and the thickness of individual layers.
[Airflow] Breathable AirPro APM
This is an air pressure drop sensor. It allows for online traverse measurement of air permeability and air pressure drop.
