Support pipe connection method

When a steel pipe with a cross-sectional area of 300 mm or more or a pipe with a cross-sectional area of 110 mm and a wall thickness of 2 mm or more made of aluminum material shown in Table 1 is used as a butt-needle support, it may be used as part of the lightning conductor.

Availability of markings

(1) Support tube with markings

  • P12~17, Stainless steel pipe for piping (SUS304)
  • Special structural carbon steel tubes (STK400) other than P12~17 with different thickness of support tubes, etc. from normal ones
    ~Connection method for support pipes with markings~.
    Remove the bolts attached to the upper and lower connecting rings first. Insert the upper pipe into the lower pipe, aligning the markings in Figs. 1 and 2 on the left, and then insert the previously removed bolts into the upper pipe from the lower pipe, tightening the bolts in three directions, upper and lower in two stages.

(2) Support pipe without marking

  • P12~17, Structural carbon steel tube (STK400)
    ~Connection method for support pipes without markings
    Remove the bolts attached to the upper and lower connecting rings first. Insert the upper pipe into the lower pipe, align the bolt holes of the upper pipe with those of the lower pipe, insert the previously removed bolts into the upper pipe from the lower pipe, and tighten the bolts in three directions, upper and lower in two stages.
