TSS is a sheathed thermocouple whose sheath can be activated by a spring mechanism inside the terminal box. By using it in combination with a protection tube, the tip of the sheath is brought into contact with the bottom of the protection tube, and the tip of the sheath is crimped to the bottom of the protection tube.
