Purpose
Opening a closed sprinkler or release valve drops pressure on the secondary side (the outlet from the valve disc). This pressure drop opens the valve disc, allowing pressurized water or foam solution to flow from the primary side (the inlet up to the valve disc) to the outlet. The device then automatically detects this internal water flow and triggers an alarm signal.
