Fuji Ceramics FUS Series Low Frequency Type Airborne Ultrasonic Sensor

Manufacturer: Fuji Ceramics Co., Ltd.
Model: FUS Series

Features

    • It measures an object’s presence or distance by emitting ultrasonic waves and receiving their reflections.
    • The 40 kHz low-frequency type enables long-distance detection over several meters.
    • FUS-40BT and FUS-40BR (aluminum) have been updated to FUS-40BT-B and FUS-40BR-B (black).
    • FUS-40CT and FUS-40CR are currently unavailable.

◆ Ultrasonic Sensors
  • High acoustic pressure sensitivity
  • Compact size, light weight, and solid construction
  • High accuracy and reliability
  • Low power consumption and economic efficiency
  • Resistance to harsh environments such as temperature, humidity, and contamination
◆Operation of Ultrasonic Sensors
  • Spatial transmission of signals
  • Measurement of signal transmission time
  • Detection of continuous signals
  • Efficient use of multipath responses
  • Measurement of pulse echo time
  • Measurement of Kármán vortex flow
◆Sensor Installation Methods
  • Single-element reflective type (combined transmission and reception)
  • Two-element reflective type (reception only)
  • Two-element opposite-facing type (reception only)
◆Precautions for Use
  • Sensors have directional characteristics; ensure correct installation orientation.
  • Pay attention to the connection polarity between sensor terminals and external components (except for FUS-40E and FUS-300A-PB).
  • Impacts or vibrations may cause noise—use rubber or foam material for cushioning.
  • Insulation resistance may drop over time; avoid prolonged DC voltage application.
  • Do not use the sensor underwater.
  • Product specifications and appearance are subject to change without notice.
