Yamato Protec Resin Piping

Manufacturer: Yamato Protec Corporation
Application
The “resin piping system” was developed as a new system to replace the steel pipe piping used in sprinkler systems. The “resin piping system” has been certified by the Japan Fire Equipment Safety Center. Along with its heat resistance, pressure resistance, and leak-proof joints, the resin’s flexibility allows installers to bend it freely. Consequently, engineers highly value this material for large-scale sprinkler networks, while contractors use it widely in residential systems.
Features of resin piping
Flexibility: The flexible resin pipe bends easily, eliminating elbows and cutting material costs. Installers skip precise measurements, which simplifies the setup. Pipes under 10 meters do not require supports. The structural deflection also provides excellent earthquake resistance.
Lightweight: The 20A resin pipe weighs one-tenth of the SGP25A, while the 16A pipe weighs one-fifteenth. This light weight allows easy transport without heavy lifting equipment. Workers can prefabricate the parts to shorten construction periods and upgrade equipment.
High Corrosion Resistance: The pipe completely prevents oxidation and electrolytic corrosion. It also eliminates blockages from rust or debris adhesion.
Consistent Construction Quality: An electrofusion splicer connects the pipes and fittings. The controller automatically sets the fusion time, ensuring an easy installation and a leak-free piping system.

Conditions for using resin piping
Installers use this piping in both wet and dry sprinkler systems.
The sprinkler single-winding piping section utilizes the horizontal piping extending from the secondary side of the alarm valve. Contractors can install the piping in concealed ceiling spaces finished with semi-non-combustible materials.
The maximum operating pressure is 1.0 MPa.
The minimum bending radius is 8D (130mm).
The unwinding pipe (up to 10 m) does not require support.
