KONAN TA2 Series Rotary Actuator With Electric-Pneumatic Positioner Single-Acting Type

Product Made In Japan
Manufacturer: KONAN ELECTRIC
Model: TA2 Series

This type comes with a compact electric pneumatic positioner that precisely controls the actuator’s rotation angle. We provide two options available:CW Type turns clockwise to increment the electrical signal, and the CCW type turns vice versa.

Operating principle

TA2 Series

When the torque motor (1E) receives input power, its armature (2Eb) pivots in the direction of arrow A around the fulcrum plate spring (3). This pivot separates the flapper (5) from the nozzle (4), reducing the pressure in the nozzle’s back-pressure chamber (12) and upsetting its balance with the pressure chamber (11). Consequently, the relay spool (13) actuates, opening port A (15a), which connects the lower cylinder pressure chamber (17e) to the exhaust port (9) and causes the stem (18) to descend. This action is transmitted through the feedback lever (19), cam lever (20), range arm (23), and zero arm (26), extending the feedback spring (7) and continuing until the spring’s tensile strength equals the torque motor’s (1E) absorption power. Thus, the stem (18) moves in proportion to the input signal.
