Sleeve valves are provided with
1) A straight inline type,
2) A submerged discharge type,
3) An angle inline type.
Operating principle is based on throttling pressure across multiple openings especially sized, tapered, and positioned around a circular valve port.
The valve opening characteristics are normally linear throughout the valve stroke but can be characterized for special applications if required.
Control of the valve may be manual, motor operated, or hydraulically actuated with incoming fluid or oil used as the control medium.
