• The “Manual for the Investigation of Dioxins in Raw and Purified Water” recommends using four polyurethane foams (PUFs), each 10 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height, with two for measurement and two for backup per sampling run.
• A Soxhlet extractor has been prepared to process all four PUFs in a single cleaning and extraction run.
• The PUFs are designed to swell with solvents and return to their original size after drying.
• The extractor is equipped with a moisture removal function to improve extraction efficiency.
• When using solvents with a higher boiling point than water, like toluene, the condensed moisture in the system can be separated and removed.
• After extraction, the solvent in the moisture removal section can be discharged through a valve for concentration, or reduced to the size of a standard rotary evaporator for further concentration.
