Oil Lubrication Monitoring Sensor
MWM, an Italian manufacturer specializing in the development of oil-air lubrication systems, has developed devices for monitoring oil lubrication using optical sensors.
On this page, we provide detailed information about the IFX-C oil streak sensor, specifically developed for oil-air lubrication applications.
Oil streak sensor (IFX-C)
Purpose/Use
The oil streak sensor (IFX-C) is a sensor that monitors whether lubricating oil is flowing through the tube in oil-air lubrication . It can prevent bearings from burning out when the lubricating oil stops flowing for some reason.
Principle
The Oil Streak Sensor (IFX-C) is an optical sensor that uses technology developed by MWM. When lubricating oil flows through a transparent tube, the infrared LED inside the sensor projects the movement of the lubricating oil onto the light-receiving element and detects the movement of the shadow to detect the presence or absence of lubricating oil flow. If it detects a lack of lubricating oil, it outputs an alarm signal to notify the outside world of the abnormality.
