B-10A | Air Drain | 15–25 | General air/gas use (*1), air with high oil content | 1.4 MPa | 80°C | 0.01 MPa | Cast Iron | Stainless Steel | Stainless Steel | Threaded JIS Rc |
Note (1): Not suitable for gas applications where leakage to the outside is not acceptable.
Operation Description
- The bucket floats due to the buoyancy of the air inside it.
A small amount of air escapes through a hole in the top of the bucket and is released via the valve seat outlet, but air is replenished into the bucket from the inlet side, so the bucket stays afloat. - When condensate enters, the amount of air inside the bucket decreases, causing it to lose buoyancy and sink, opening the valve to discharge the condensate.
- When air enters the bucket again, it regains buoyancy, floats up, and closes the valve.
