When the inlet pressure of the drain is higher than the back pressure, the UNA25-PK operates in normal operation mode.
When a differential pressure is present, the UNA25-PK operates in continuous trap mode with the rolling ball valve open, allowing flow.
When the drain enters the valve, the float rises. The float moves the rolling ball valve to close the valve seat. The drain is discharged continuously and the air vent valve remains open.
When the drain level inside the valve body drops, the float sinks, the valve closes, and there is no leakage.
If the back pressure is higher than or equal to the inlet pressure, the drain cannot be discharged unless the internal pressure rises. Then the float rises and the drain level increases.
The float rises as the steam or air from the control chamber enters and heats the inside of the float unit.
The UNA25-PK operates cyclically to discharge the drain.
