• Chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM) has similar characteristics to chloroprene rubber (CR), but is more weather-resistant, ozone-resistant, heat-resistant, and chemical-resistant than CR.
• Its chemical resistance, particularly against inorganic acids and alkalis, is superior to CR, while its flame retardancy, oil resistance, and solvent resistance are comparable.
• It also has good mechanical strength and abrasion resistance.
• It is also minimally discolored after long-term outdoor exposure, making it widely used in building materials, electrical wires, linings, and other applications.
