Futaba FDJ-03 Wireless Modem

Manufacture: Futaba Corporation
Model: FDJ-03
Features
8 major features of FDJ-03
- Uses the 1.2GHz band, which can coexist with the 429MHz and 2.4GHz bands
- High-performance receiving circuitry enables wireless communication that is resistant to interference and jamming
- 40 channel frequencies and high speed (14.3kbps) & continuous communication
- Combined with roaming functionality, this multi-stage repeater function eliminates the need for route designation
- Long-distance wireless communication is possible, with a line of sight of 1500m outdoors and 300m indoors (measured by our company: 6km along the coastline)
- Equipped with a communication test function and simple spectrum analyzer function to prevent radio wave troubles
- Equipped with antenna diversity function
- No need for complicated licenses, qualifications or applications
Main uses
- Wireless systems in noisy environments such as factory automation factories, plants, playgrounds, and public facilities
- Wireless systems in environments with many wireless LAN devices and 429MHz band wireless devices, such as offices, FA factories, and hotspots
- Abnormal monitoring of various equipment such as power supplies, cubicles, and vending machines
- Monitoring abnormalities in power receiving equipment installed on the roof of a building
Description
The FDJ-03 is a 1.2GHz band specified low-power radio modem with an integrated antenna that incorporates the 1.2GHz band specified low-power radio module FDJ-02 , which was launched in 2006. It is equipped with a versatile RS-232C interface (D-Sub9Pin) and has obtained a technical standards conformity certificate , so customers can use it without applying for a license.
Because the frequency band is 1.2 GHz, it can coexist in an environment with many 429 MHz band specific low-power radios and 2.4 GHz band SS radios. Furthermore, it is possible to achieve high-speed communication (14.3 kbps) that is not possible with 429 MHz band specific low-power radios, and because it has weaker directivity than 2.4 GHz band SS radios, it is expected that radio waves can be deflected around obstacles (diffraction) .
With a wide range of 40 frequency channels (19 continuous transmission channels, 19 time-limited channels, and 2 control channels), multiple wireless systems can coexist in the same area.
This radio is equipped with a highly sensitive receiving circuit and high interference rejection capabilities , enabling long-distance wireless communication of 1500m line of sight between antennas and 300m indoors, which was not possible with conventional products.Tofull range of support functions, such as a test command (commonly known as the TS2 command)
that measures the communication area, and a simple spectrum analyzer (commonly known as simple spectrum analyzer software) that checks for the presence of interference waves
By using commands built into the wireless modem, various communication formats from 1:1 to 1:N are possible. It also features a multi-stage repeater function that eliminates the need for route designation, and combined with its long-distance wireless communication capabilities, it is possible to wirelessly monitor all the equipment scattered throughout factories and public facilities. Considering installation on mobile devices, it also features a diversity reception function
to counter multipath fading .
