Overview of Adhesive Series

Gore’s hydrophobic and oleophobic stick-on vents can improve the reliability and longevity of your sealed outdoor electronic devices, in two ways:

• They allow air to flow freely into and out of sealed enclosures, equalizing pressures to reduce seal stress, and reducing condensation.
• They reliably protect sensitive electronics against ingress of damaging water, salts, corrosive fluids or particulates to enable compliance with industry standards.

These low-profile stick-on air vents offer flexible integration options that can meet the needs of almost any outdoor electronic enclosure, including thin-walled enclosures. These vents install quickly and easily on an enclosure’s interior or exterior, using manual or automated processes. Their low-outgassing adhesives form a strong and durable bond to a wide variety of housing materials, providing reliable performance over time in a broad range of challenging applications:

GORE Protective Vents Adhesive Series: Portfolio Overview / Recommended Applications

	Series VE8: Combines our highest airflow and lowest profile in a vent designed for mounting on the housing interior. This white vent features an oleophobic GORE Membrane with white PET nonwoven backing, and acrylic adhesive. Recommended for applications that must achieve IP64 or IP67 protection.
	Series VE7: Provides high-temperature stability for either interior or exterior mounting, on rough or smooth surfaces. This black vent’s all-membrane (100% ePTFE) construction features a silicone adhesive. Enables IP64, IP67 or IP68 protection for interior-mount applications. Exterior-mount applications can achieve protection ratings from IP64 through IP68, depending on housing design.
	Series VE9: Designed for interior or exterior mounting on rough or smooth surfaces, this versatile series offers high-temperature stability plus higher airflow. This white vent’s all-membrane construction of 100% ePTFE includes a silicone adhesive. Enables IP64, IP67 or IP68 protection for interior-mount applications. Exterior-mount applications can achieve protection ratings from IP64 through IP68, depending on housing design.
