This is a recycled material made by wind crushing oxidized slag obtained as a by-product from electric furnace steelworks. Slag in a melted state at around 1,500°C is blown by a high-pressure blower, rapidly cooled with mist, and made into spheres by the action of surface tension. Ceramic aggregates (coarse and fine aggregates) with various characteristics not found in natural aggregates.

Each of these oxides is formed under high temperature and becomes a stable mineral phase. - Due to the high temperature quenching process, clay, organic impurities and salt are not included at all.
- It has an old Mohs hardness of 6 or higher, and has excellent wear resistance.
- It has characteristics such as acid resistance and alkali resistance.
Uses
- Equivalent to JIS Z0312 non-metallic abrasive for blasting. (Type: steelmaking slag)
- Suitable for blasting due to its hardness, toughness, and shot shape.
- It is mainly used for cleaning and surface treatment in oil storage tanks, bridge construction works, construction of heavy steel structures, oil drilling platforms, etc.
- Unlike conventional nickel slag, copper slag, and garnet, it does not generate dust easily, so it is also suitable for use in shipbuilding applications such as rust removal. It is also used for ship maintenance.
- It is also used as a filter material because it is non-absorbent and durable.
- Due to its non-slip properties, it can be used as a road cover material and as a pavement for concrete and asphalt roads. Since it adheres effectively to asphalt and concrete, it is used as an efficient repair and reinforcement material in a variety of applications.
