Product Categories
NYTAL (Nylon Mesh Cloth)
Known for its precision and variety, with a wide range of widths and excellent durability. Compared to stainless steel, it is less prone to clogging. Available in various weaves such as XX and Schlager, it is used in most flour mills worldwide. (Mesh opening: 1–5000μ)
Nylon Mesh Cloth NYTAL (Nylon Mesh Cloth)
PETEX (Polyester Mesh Cloth)
Resistant to high temperatures (-75 to +150°C) and has minimal stretching. It is rapidly gaining popularity in stainless steel mesh applications due to its similar properties. (Mesh opening: 1–5000μ)
Polyester Mesh Cloth PETEX (Polyester Mesh Cloth) Catalog Download (78KB)
CARBOTEX (Carbon Mesh Cloth)
A nylon mesh woven with carbon fiber, offering excellent anti-static properties. (Mesh opening: 50–2000μ)
Carbon Mesh Cloth CARBOTEX (Carbon Mesh Cloth)
PROPLTEX (Polypropylene Mesh Cloth)
Excellent chemical resistance. (Mesh opening: 105–3360μ)
Polypropylene Mesh Cloth PROPLTEX (Polypropylene Mesh Cloth) Catalog Download (57KB)
FLUORTEX (Teflon/PVDF Mesh Cloth)
Outstanding chemical resistance. Suitable for high-temperature screening, usable up to 150°C. Mainly made of ETFE, but fine PVDF mesh is also available. (Mesh opening: 70–2000μ)
Teflon/PVDF Mesh Cloth FLUORTEX (Teflon/PVDF Mesh Cloth)
PEEKTEX (PEEK Mesh Cloth)
Excellent heat and chemical resistance. As it is made of biodegradable compounds, it is environmentally friendly when disposed of. (Mesh opening: 35–1000μ)
PEEK Mesh Cloth PEEKTEX (PEEK Mesh Cloth)
MEDIFAB (Medifab Mesh Cloth)
Specially cleaned after production and packaged in a cleanroom, recommended for medical and other special applications. Available in nylon and polyester. (Mesh opening: Nylon 2–200μm / Polyester 5–800μm)
Medifab Mesh Cloth MEDIFAB (Medifab Mesh Cloth)
How to Read the Standard Table
The products are listed in descending order of mesh opening size. Here’s how to interpret each item:
Product Code (Sefar number)
The product number from the Swiss manufacturer “SEFAR.”
Mesh Opening (μm)
The size of the mesh openings (the gaps between the threads) in microns.
Thread Thickness (μm)
The thickness of the threads in microns.
Mesh (per inch)
The number of threads per inch.
Open Area (%)
The percentage of the mesh that is open space.
Thickness (μm)
The thickness of the mesh in microns.
Width Standard (cm)
The current width standard for each product. Note that the width standard is a manufacturing benchmark and not a guaranteed value.
( ) denotes made-to-order products. They may be available from our stock or in Switzerland, so please feel free to contact us.

Weaving Patterns
The weaving patterns of mesh are indicated as GG, XX, XXX, S (Schlinger), etc. Some meshes, especially those with openings of 30μm or less, are woven in special patterns such as twill or satin weave. The following diagrams illustrate each weaving pattern.

Special Notation of “Thread Thickness”
The “thread thickness” of mesh woven with different wire diameters such as XX is indicated as follows.
Raw Materials
The raw materials for each product are as follows:
Standard Name | Raw Material |
---|---|
NYTAL | Polyamide 6,6 (6,6 Nylon) Polyamide 6 (6 Nylon) |
PETEX | Polyester (Polyethylene Terephthalate) |
PROPYLTEX | Polypropylene (PP) |
