Operating a reciprocating compressor creates pressure fluctuations (pressure pulsation) in the piping, including frequency components related to the compressor’s rotational speed. This happens because the suction and discharge flow rates are intermittent, leading to pressure pulsations that can cause piping vibrations and malfunctions in electrical instrumentation. We developed our own pulsation analysis program, enabling our compressor designs to fully control pressure pulsation and ensure stable plant operations.
