Kitagawa NPL2-S Series With Measuring Function Robot Accessory

Manufacturer: Kitagawa Corporation.
Model: NPL2-S Series
Feature:
Possible to measure gripping length
The system supports active switching and operates reliably in harsh environments such as chips, dust, and coolant (IP67 rated).
High ID gripping force enables transportation of heavy workpieces
Realizes dust and water resistance without air purging
How to order
Kitagawa offers the S Series 2-jaw sealed gripper (Size 16) with an NBR seal and an optional factory-installed length measuring sensor. The system supports active switching and operates reliably in harsh environments (IP67). Users must install a check valve in the air pressure circuit to keep the gripper from releasing the workpiece during pressure drops. They can mount reed switches in the grooves around the outer periphery to detect jaw stroke. To ensure IP67 protection, users must connect a ventilation hose; otherwise, the protection level drops to IP54.
Specifications
Model | Jaw stroke in diameter (mm) | Gripping Force F | Repeatability (mm) | Mass (kg) | Air Consumption per reciprocating (cm3) | Air Pressure (MPa) | Operating Temperature (℃) | Protective class | ||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Measurement Distance L (mm) | OD Gripping (N) | ID Gripping (N) | ||||||||

Note:
The measurement distance is the distance from the master jaw centre to the gripping centre.
Value at supply air pressure 0.6 MPa.
The above specifications are the same as those of non-scale model (NPL).
Gripping force
The gripping force, F is a product of the actual gripping force per jaw, F1 and the number of jaws
NPL216S
NPL216S
The system calculates the gripping force based on the gripper model, air pressure, and other gripping conditions.
