There are no pockets to collect debris.
When compressed to a drop-tight shut-off, this valve is designed all compression – no wedging or sliding, so that no sliding or shear on the resilient seating surface would cause seat failure and leakage.
It has a protective coating of fusionbouded epoxy resin inside and outside, therefore, corrosion protection of all ferrous surfaces is maximized.
