Power System Operation Overview
The off-grid independent power system delivers AC power (single-phase, 2-wire, AC 100V) through continuous inverter conversion, drawing from either solar power generation (8kW) or commercial power (8kW) and storing energy in the battery. The system charges the battery from either solar power or commercial electricity, allowing it to directly power connected off-grid circuit loads like servers, communication equipment, computers, and lighting devices in a server room.
During the day, solar panels generate power that the system rectifies and converts into high-quality AC power, free of noise and voltage fluctuations, using continuous inverter technology. In case of a disaster, the system seamlessly switches to off-grid mode, drawing from solar power and battery reserves to maintain consistent power based on generation and battery capacity. This reliable setup ensures continuous operations and supports Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
The Personal Energy system offers flexibility with optional solar panel installation. Without solar panels, the system charges the battery solely from commercial power, functioning effectively as a large UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
Key Points:
- This system qualifies under the “Act on Special Measures for Improving Productivity,” enacted in June 2018.
- Investment Returns and Policy Independence: Avoids the impact of reduced purchase prices under the revised Fixed Price Purchase System (FIT), allowing for an investment payback period of less than 10 years.
- BCP Support: Ensures a stable power supply during disasters and emergencies, supporting business continuity and contributing to sustainable corporate energy procurement plans.
- Energy-Saving Compliance: Utilizing self-generated electricity reduces primary energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
