Firmly grip the bolt or nut at the back of the jaw to adjust the width across flats. Turn the wrench toward the lower jaw. Avoid extending wrenches with a pipe or similar objects. Never use wrenches as a hammer. Do not strike wrenches with a hammer or any other tool.
