Heat-Resistant Fiber

NITIVY ALF is a continuous alumina fiber that was developed based on our vinylon (PVA fiber) dry spinning technology.
The yarn, which is made of bundles of filaments formed from fine crystal grains, is highly flexible and processable into various products such as fabrics and sleevings without the aid of other fibers.
NITIVY ALF has a wide range of applications thanks to its excellent thermal resistance, high strength and modulus, and electrical insulation properties.

Characteristics of NITIVY ALF

  • Excellent thermal resistance in continuous high temperature environments
  • Excellent flexibility
  • High tensile strength and modulus
  • Excellent corrosion resistance
  • Excellent electrical insulation properties
  • Does not absorb moisture
  • Excellent thermal insulation properties
Standard gradeHigh heat-resistant grade

Applications of NITIVY ALF

  • Furnace linings
  • Heat-shielding curtains
  • Roller covers for toughened glass operation
  • Spacers for the heat treatment of metal or other materials
  • Thermal insulation coverings for the thermocouples, cables and wires
  • Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs)
  • Thermal insulation seals or packing materials
  • Insulators around generators or aircraft/rocket engines
  • Cryogenic insulation
  • Abrasives for plastic whetstones
  • Thermal insulation rings (disks and collars) for semiconductor diffusion furnaces
  • Others
