Description of FDKU033-D/FDKU033-D-X

The FDKU033 series is a Multi-Criteria Analog Addressable Smoke Detector compatible with any fire alarm control panels from the Integlex Multicrest series. Certified with UL268 7th Edition, the FDKU033 series meets stringent requirements, including flaming and smoldering polyurethane tests, as well as nuisance tests to prevent activation by certain types of cooking smoke.In addition to the standard UL268 7th Edition requirements, the FDKU033 series has a unique chamber that distinguishes between smoke and dust, helping to prevent false alarms. This chamber uses Nohmi’s latest detection technology, which reduces nuisance alarms and enhances fire detection reliability.
The FDKU033 series integrates Nohmi’s advanced circuit technology, reducing product size while maintaining high performance. Its slim design ensures that the detector blends seamlessly with modern buildings. The FDKU033 series has an adjustable alarm set-point range of 4.4 to 8.4%/m (1.36 to 2.64%/foot) and includes drift compensation with built-in dirty detector warnings. When the dirty level reaches the limit, users should clean or replace the detector to ensure accurate detection.
Communication between the FDKU033 series and control panels occurs over a proven digital network, enabling rapid alarm detection. With polling speeds of less than five seconds, the FDKU033 series easily surpasses UL speed requirements.
This detector also features 360° LED viewing and is compatible with Nohmi’s various detector bases. It’s simple to install, using the hand-held programmer for accurate address setting, which is more reliable than mechanical switches.

Setting the Address

Each addressable module, smoke detector, heat detector, and combination detector must have the address set before connecting the device to the Signaling Line Circuit (SLC) loop. The address is set using the hand-held programmer.
