Performance

-High-performance bearings
High-performance bearings are used in both the roller and blade, so the cutter turns easily with only slight force even with the cutting load applied.

-Ideal for copper or thin wall stainless steel pipes
Replacing the blade allows you to use the cutter for cutting thin-walled stainless steel pipes and, in the case of the model N67PE, polyethylene(PE) pipes.(Replaccement blades sold separately)

Since its appearance in the year 2000, the first generation of the RB TUbe Cutter has continued to evolve, resulting in well over 200,000 units sold by March 2009. The current, second generation of the tool has been available since April 2009. The outstanding features of the cutter include its use of ball bearings. As a result of the ball bearings in the axle shaft, the cutting load has been reduced by hale, greatly reducing the user’s work load. This is particularly evident when cutting stainless steel pipe. The tool is ideal for at-site plumbing work in building utilities equipment, air-conditioning installations etc., cutting copper and stainless steel pipe with ease.
The 8 bearings in each unit provide an ease of use not previously seen in a tube cutter. The original model received a Good Design Award for its unique design. In the original model, the cutter was designed to look like connected pipes; the second generation cutter was slimmed down and enables you to put it in your pocket. ANd the subtle changes to the grip make it easier to use than before.
And another interesting feature is that the surface of the cutter isn’t coated with paint; as the tool gets some pretty rough handling, our designers wanted to give it a more rugged feel and, at the same time, reduce the tool’s environmental impact(an industry first).
