SK-270WP is a waterproof handy digital thermometer ideal for measuring food temperature. This model does not have a hook. You must purchase an additional sensor probe.. Each probe is interchangeable and compatible with the main unit.

Feature of SK-270WP

■ The SK-270WP serves as an ideal waterproof digital thermometer for environments like food factories and kitchen facilities where water usage is prevalent.

■ HACCP function: three alarm patterns of a combination of temperature and time available

When the temperature of the measured object reaches the preset value, the device’s timer activates automatically. Upon reaching the set time, the device alerts with a buzzer sound and LED illumination.

Out of the box, three temperature and time patterns come preconfigured, but you have the freedom to customize them according to your requirements.

■ When turned on, the device displays its serial number and calibration date.

There is no sticker on the body to prevent contamination.

When you turn on the power, the unit displays its serial number and the date of its last factory recalibration for simplified on-site management.

Note: Only the unit calibrated at our factory shows a calibration date. Users cannot edit it.

■ Resistant body to water, impact, heat and alcohol

The SK-270WP’s body, crafted from polycarbonate resin, provides superior resistance to heat, impact, and alcohol, outperforming traditional ABS resin.

■ Durable, hygienic body and easy-to-read display

Rubber encasing the body’s sides minimizes damage from falls. The device also features a design with minimal holes and crevices to reduce contamination risks. Additionally, its slanted back design enhances the display’s readability. Also, the device is designed to contain as few holes and ditches as possible to prevent contamination. The slanted back improves the readability of the display.

■ Optional probes

Various sensor probes are provided for a variety of applications. Every probe is made of materials regulated by Japan’s Food Sanity Act. Probes can be interchangeably used with a main unit.

Our calibration services include traceable calibration and JCSS-certified calibration (JCSS is Japan’s official authority accredited under the ILAC MRA), ensuring compliance with ISO-level management standards for measuring instruments. Each calibration is performed as a comprehensive set, involving both the main unit and a probe.

Description of SK-270WP

■ What is HACCP?

HACCP, which stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, is a food safety management system that focuses on analyzing and effectively controlling biological, chemical, and physical hazards throughout the entire food production process. This includes activities such as raw material production, procurement, handling, manufacturing, distribution, and consumption of the finished product.

Today, an increasing number of manufacturers are embracing this system as it proves to be more effective in preventing the shipment of defective products compared to traditional spot checks conducted on the final product.

■ HACCP function

Measurement of temperature of a center of a target object is the top priority for HACCP management.

SK-270WP has a function to automatically count the set time when the temperature reaches the set value, named as HACCP function.

As the device memorizes three patterns, you can monitor three different required temperatures for different objects with one machine.

Three factory-set major temperatures (75, 90, and 100°C) can be changed for your preference.

Example: 75°C, 1 min.

1) The temperature of the target reaches 75°C.

2) Countdown of 1 minute begins.

3) If the temperature falls below 75°C within 1 minute, the countdown is canceled and the process returns to 1).

4) Buzzer and LED are activated when the countdown finishes.
