1. Light program size with MCAL

  • CioRy is a lightweight AUTOSAR BSW developed for smooth operation on low-end microcontrollers. It was created based on experience from AUTOSAR activities, JASPAR initiatives, and NCES joint research.
  • The system narrows down AUTOSAR specifications by selecting only essential functions, reducing program volume by about 40%. Unique clustering technology minimizes overhead and reduces microcontroller load.
  • The CioRy package is under 30 KB, including RTE, OS, and CAN communication stack.  CPU load for OS, RTE, CAN, and DIAG remains under 20%.
  • CioRy is ideal for low-end, mid-end, and high-end microcontrollers.

2. Easy configuration 

  • Understanding the full AUTOSAR specifications and hundreds of configuration settings is very complex and burdensome for developers.
  • The CioRy AUTOSAR package extracts only the minimum necessary configuration items, making setup easier with a dedicated configurator.
  • For example, CioRy’s CAN communication stack requires about 40 settings, around one-tenth compared to typical AUTOSAR BSW.
  • The CioRy Configurator automatically generates BSW source files based on user input through a PC GUI.

3. Module can be used alone 

  • When migrating to AUTOSAR, some users may find it too early to adopt a full SW-C architecture.
  • The CioRy package allows use as a communications middleware without requiring RTE or OS, focusing only on the CAN module.
  • Users can start with the CAN communication stack and later add RTE and OS packages as needed for future expansion.
