Operation

When the drive is stopped, the drum and driving unit are not in contact, so no power is transmitted. When the driver’s rotation speed begins to increase, the shoe is pressed against the drum by centrifugal force, transmitting power to the driven unit while slipping. When the driver’s rotation speed reaches the rated speed, slippage disappears and 100% power is transmitted.
