e-DRAIN is a drain cooler that can adjust the drain outlet temperature.

Improve boiler efficiency

When the flow rate of steam and condensate is low or the temperature is low, or when the seawater temperature is low, the capacity of the condensate cooler is constant, so the condensate cooler outlet temperature enters the cascade tank at a lower temperature than planned. Since the boiler heats the feed water at a low temperature, the efficiency of the boiler decreases. e-DRAIN delivers condensate to the cascade tank at the planned temperature, improving boiler efficiency.

For low-temperature corrosion countermeasures

Heavy oil boilers and exhaust gas economizers are at risk of low-temperature corrosion if the water supply temperature is low. e-DRAIIN can be expected to be effective against low-temperature corrosion by keeping the water supply temperature at the set value. With e-DRAIN, the drain is fed into the cascade tank from the drain cooler at the set temperature, so the water supply temperature can be maintained at the set value without wasting energy.

The extra heat is simply discarded into seawater.
