The stopping positions of a pneumatic cylinder can be precisely measured in 1/100 mm [0.00039 in.] units. Additionally, good/reject judgment of workpieces can be efficiently accomplished by using stroke sensors in combination with counters. Moreover, the history of operations can easily be managed by importing the data into a PLC. The actuator and precision measurement functions are integrated into one compact and space-saving unit. Furthermore, the sensor head provides exceptional resolution, with a precision of 0.0025 mm [0.0001 in.], and an accuracy of ±0.015 mm [0.0006 in.] when measuring 10-mm [0.3937 in.] strokes. As a result, cylinder speed can also be accurately measured using the dedicated counter, ensuring reliable performance in demanding applications.
