Dam concrete placement

Features

Dam-use high-frequency vibrators are products developed for concreting in dam works and sand control dams. They use high-frequency power of 120 to 125 Hz from a dam converter to produce a great centrifugal force.

Reliable motor

These motors are designed and manufactured based on long-accumulated experiences and track records, with their centrifugal forces slightly lower than that of HIB150H. These machines, however, incorporate motors usable problem-free in concreting, with high durability and reliability. Still now they contribute to dam works both in Japan and elsewhere.

Highly active even in locations inaccessible to large heavy machinery

These display their performance in cramped locations, small sand control dams, and similar places inaccessible to Vibacks. Two models are available according to the area of the concreting site and the amount of concreting.

A uniquely shaped tip increases work efficiency greatly and ensures perfect abrasion resistance

Handheld vibrators are frequently used in contact with rocky layers in the early days of dam construction. At such times, the tip becomes greatly worn, which makes it hard to insert the vibrator. That is why these vibrators have tips so shaped as to ensure high work efficiency and durability.

Tips excellent in abrasion resistance

Dam concrete is, unlike concrete for general architectural and civil engineering purposes, hard and low in fluidity (with aggregate 150 mm and with a slump of 0 to 3 mm). That makes the vibrator tip wear considerably fast during concreting. That is why the tip is of thermally treated ductile cast iron, resulting in high abrasion resistance. In repairs, moreover, the tip alone can be replaced.

Lower vibration at hand

A rubber damper is installed between the vibrating unit of the product proper and the switch (handheld handle) to alleviate vibration at hand, thereby allowing workers to use the vibrator for long hours without becoming tired and with reduced effects of vibration (such as limb numbness).

Compatibility of the distribution board outlet and the vibrator plug

The long-used flat plug and outlet have been changed to lightweight, round ones to increase ease of operation and maintenance. The flat outlet is incompatible with the round outlet.
