Fukudaco Ultra-Compact Angle-Shaped Coolant-Driven Spindle – Micro90 JET
Manufacturer: Fukudaco
Overview
By supplying coolant to the spindle, the turbine is rotated. The tool is attached to the turbine shaft for machining.
With a robust titanium shell and compact mechanism, it enables powerful and precise operations in hard-to-reach spaces
Applications
Ideal for a wide range of semi-finishing and finishing applications using small cutting tools, such as milling, drilling, threading, engraving, chamfering, and deburring.
Features
- An ultra-compact mechanism consisting of only six parts
- Capable of cutting in hard-to-reach areas
- Coolant-driven, eliminating the need for a power supply or inverter
- High-speed rotation of 35,000 to 45,000 min-1 enables precise operations
What is the Micro90 Jet Spindle?
The Micro90 Jet Spindle is a spindle that rotates a turbine by supplying coolant to it. By attaching a tool to the turbine shaft, it can be used for machining.
With a robust titanium shell and assembly of only six parts, it enables powerful and precise operations in small and hard-to-reach spaces.
It provides a rotation speed of 35,000 to 45,000 min-1 while the main machine’s spindle remains stationary.
Ideal for a wide range of semi-finishing and finishing applications using small cutting tools, such as milling, drilling, threading, engraving, chamfering, and deburring.
Capable of cutting in hard-to-reach areas
Due to its ultra-compact angle shape, it can approach and cut areas where tools typically cannot reach. For example, it is ideal for drilling small-diameter holes radially from the inside of a larger hole.
To mount the Micro90, secure the 10mm shank diameter portion in a tool holder or similar fixture.
The tool attachment uses a collet system that accommodates shank diameters ranging from 0.8 mm to 3.175 mm.
