Description
The MD (Preset) Series is a 4 digits LED single level preset counter in a DIN 72 x 72 panel size (Panel Cut-out size: 68 x 68mm). This is a very simple additive preset counter but functional. With a counting speed of 1kHz maximum, this counter accepts Contact or Non-Contact pulse input. It is equipped with an internal contact relay and NPN Open collector, which sends an output signal when the preset value is reached. Preset value can easily be set via the front panel digital switches and there are LED indicators that show the state of the unit. The MD Series is powered by AC100/110V or AC200/220V, selectable, and it has an external power supply of DC12V for sensors. The unit can only be reset remotely, auto reset, or by power reset. Memory is optional.

Attention
1. Do not feed a voltage signal into the Contact Input (1) terminal and Remote Reset (5) terminal. This may cause damage to the internal circuit of the unit.
2. Contact and Non-contact input cannot be used simultaneously. Please choose only one method of input.
3. For memory type models (MD-122M and MD-144M), during a power failure, LED display will go off. At this time, the counter cannot detect input or reset signals even if signals are received.
4. For models: MD-122M and MD-144M, make sure to short terminals 7 and 8 to enable the memory function. When the counter will be shut down for a long period of time, disconnect terminals 7 and 8 to prevent the discharge of the internal battery. The internal battery is charged when power is supplied to the counter.
5. Use shielded lead wires for the Input terminal and Reset terminal. Also, make the lines from the power source as far as possible from the lines of the Input and Reset lines.
6. In One-shot mode, the counter does not count even if input signal is received during the output time (0.2 or 1 sec).
Connection
Operating Mode
The count value will increment when input signal is received. When the count value reaches the Preset Value, an output signal is provided by a relay or open collector. The output relay or open collector is actuated at the preset number and it is automatically unlatched in 0.2 or 1 second. The preset value is instantaneously reset to zero and the counter immediately begins to accept input signals again. This type is ideally suited for controls on continuous production applications.
The count value will increment when the input signal is received. When the count value reaches the Preset Value, an output signal is provided by a relay or open collector. The output relay or open collector is actuated at the preset number and will remain latched until a reset signal is sent to the counter. The counter will continue counting during output until the counter is reset.
Dimension
Application
