SK-270WP is a waterproof handy digital thermometer ideal for measuring food temperature. This model does not have a hook, and includes a standard probe S270WP-01.

HACCP function: three alarm patterns of a combination of temperature and time available

When the temperature of measuring object reaches the set value, a timer automatically starts. When it reaches the set time, the buzzer sounds and the LED lights.
The SK-270WP comes with three default settings for temperature and time, which you can easily customize to suit your specific needs.

Serial number and calibration date shown when turned on

There is no sticker on the body to prevent contamination.
The serial number of the unit and the date of factory recalibration are displayed when the power is turned on to help easy management on site.
Note: Only the unit calibrated at our factory shows a calibration date. Users cannot edit it.
Example: Serial No. and calibration date (month and year).

Resistant body to water, impact, heat and alcohol

Constructed with polycarbonate resin, the body of the SK-270WP provides superior resistance to heat, impact, and alcohol, outperforming conventional ABS resin. The SK-270WP, with its IP67 waterproof rating, confidently endures washing under running water when connected to a probe and tolerates cleaning with alcohol wipes. Additionally, the device features a display section and keypad crafted from robust PET resin, further boosting its durability.

Durable, hygienic body and easy-to-read display

Rubber around the side of the body reduces the damages due to falling. Also, the device is designed to contain as few holes and ditches as possible to prevent contamination. The slanted back improves the readability of the display.

Various sensor probes are provided for a variety of applications. All probes are made from materials that meet the standards of Japan’s Food Sanity Act, guaranteeing their safety in food-related environments. Additionally, you can interchangeably use these probes with the main unit.

Description

What is HACCP?

HACCP, or Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, represents a management system dedicated to ensuring food safety. This approach involves thorough analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards at every stage, from the production and handling of raw materials to the manufacturing, distribution, and consumption of the finished product. Nowadays, an increasing number of manufacturers are adopting this system, finding it more effective in preventing the shipment of defective products than traditional final product spot checks.

HACCP function

Measurement of temperature of a center of a target object is the top priority for HACCP management.
SK-270WP has a function to automatically count the set time when the temperature reaches the set value, named as HACCP function.
As the device memorizes three patterns, you can monitor three different required temperatures for different objects with one machine.
Three factory-set major temperatures (75, 90, and 100°C) can be changed for your preference.
Example: 75°C, 1 min.

1) The temperature of the target reaches 75°C.

2) Countdown of 1 minute begins.

3) If the temperature falls below 75°C within 1 minute, the countdown is canceled and the process returns to 1).

4) Buzzer and LED are activated when the countdown finishes.
