SK-270WP is a waterproof handy digital thermometer ideal for measuring food temperature. For this model, you must purchase an additional sensor probe. You can use every probe interchangeably with the main unit.

Feature

When the temperature of measuring object reaches the set value, a timer automatically starts. When it reaches the set time, the buzzer sounds and the LED lights.
The SK-270WP comes with three default settings for temperature and time, which you can easily customize to suit your specific needs.

Serial number and calibration date shown when turned on

There is no sticker on the body to prevent contamination.
When you power on the unit, it displays the serial number and the date of the last factory recalibration, facilitating easy on-site management.
Note: Only the unit calibrated at our factory shows a calibration date. Users cannot edit it.
Example: Serial No. and calibration date (month and year).

Resistant body to water, impact, heat and alcohol

The SK-270WP’s body, crafted from polycarbonate resin, surpasses conventional ABS resin in terms of heat, impact, and alcohol resistance.
The SK-270WP, boasting an IP67 waterproof rating, confidently handles washing under running water while connected to a probe, and can also be cleaned with alcohol wipes.
Moreover, its display section and keypad feature robust PET resin construction, adding to its durability.

Durable, hygienic body and easy-to-read display

Rubber around the side of the body reduces the damages due to falling.
The device’s design minimizes the number of holes and ditches, effectively reducing the risk of contamination.
The slanted back improves the readability of the display.

Optional probes

Various sensor probes are provided for a variety of applications. Every probe is made of materials regulated by Japan’s Food Sanity Act. Probes can be interchangeably used with a main unit.

Calibration available

We offer traceable calibration and JCSS-certified calibration (JCSS is Japan’s official authority acquired ILAC MRA) to meet requirements of ISO-level management of measuring instruments. Each calibration is done as a set of a main unit and a probe.

Description

What is HACCP?

HACCP, short for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and seamless control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.
Today, more and more manufacturers adopt this system to prevent defective product from being shipped effectively compared to conventional spot checks for final product.

HACCP function

Measurement of temperature of a center of a target object is the top priority for HACCP management.
SK-270WP has a function to automatically count the set time when the temperature reaches the set value, named as HACCP function.
As the device memorizes three patterns, you can monitor three different required temperatures for different objects with one machine.
Three factory-set major temperatures (75, 90, and 100°C) can be changed for your preference.
Example: 75°C, 1 min.

1) The temperature of the target reaches 75°C.

2) Countdown of 1 minute begins.

3) If the temperature falls below 75°C within 1 minute, the countdown is canceled and the process returns to 1).

4) Buzzer and LED are activated when the countdown finishes.
