SK-810PT is a precise thermometer of 0.01°C resolution with a range of –100 to 360°C, to alternate mercury-filled standard glass thermometers so far used. Purchase a probe sold separately to meet your purpose.

Feature

Due to the Minamata Convention on Mercury, demands for mercury-free products have been widely enlarged recently.

SK-810PT is a professional digital thermometer to replace the conventional standard mercury thermometers to meet such needs.

Not only it is portable and offers simple operation, but also it enables highly accurate measurement with a high resolution of 0.01°C valid in the whole measuring range of −100 to 360°C, and a highest accuracy of ±0.16°C achieved by precise sensors of platinum thermistor.

Various probes

We offer seven different probes of 4-wire platinum thermistor Pt100 to meet various applications as follows. You can interchangeably connect all probes and main units. Purchase one probe at least to use SK-810PT.

● Low/medium/high temperature probe (6 kinds depend on the shape of a grip)

These probes memorize its response tendency of 4-wire Pt100 inside it to let the main unit compensate the calculation so that they have total accuracy (summary of errors by a probe and a main unit) of ±0.16°C in the whole measuring range of each probe.

We recommend using suitable probes for the object’s temperature. Using the same probe for excessive temperature changes might shorten sensor life or harm stability.

● General purpose probe (S810PT-10, Cat. No. 8012-10)

Adopted JIS class A 4-wire Pt100, this probe works in a wide measuring range of −100 to 200°C. Its total accuracy of ±0.46°C at −100°C, ±0.21°C at 0°C helps you measure temperature in a freezer with sufficient accuracy.

We suggest using either low temperature probes (−100 to 50°C) or medium temperature probes (0 to 200°C) instead of the general-purpose probe for objects with a narrow temperature range. This optimizes the performance of the SK-810PT.

Various calculation functions and hold function available by simple operation

In addition to the measured value, the device can display maximum, minimum, moving average, and relative values. A display hold function is also available for reading values in unstable temperature conditions. You can easily perform all these operations with simple button presses.

Functional, durable, and stylish design

When placed on a desk, the large display, tilted at a 7° angle above the horizon, enhances readability.

A wall mount hook can be folded up to keep the rear design flat.

A neck strap hole is in the bottom of the body.

The protective rubber surrounding the body minimizes dropping damage.

IPX7 high waterproofness

The main unit can be touched by wet hands or splashed with water without risk when the probe is securely connected. However, do not sink the whole unit underwater.

* IPX7 = Can be submerged up to 1 meter in water for 30 minutes.

Runs for up to 1000 hours with alkaline batteries

Long-term measurement is possible with only four AAA alkaline batteries. Note that battery life varies with a condition.

Caution: Use of a nickel metal-hydride (NiMH) battery in a device with a sealed structure is prohibited by battery manufacturers. Never use rechargeable batteries.

Optional carrying case (Cat. No. 8012-90)

The main unit of SK-810PT and a clip (refer to below) can be put into the upper half of this case sold separately, and three probes can be stored in the lower part. Rigid sponge is used inside of the case for safe storage and transportation. A shoulder strap and the clip for holding a probe are attached.

This clip, attached to the carrying case kit (Cat. No. 8012-90), holds a probe on a beaker, a wall of a chamber, and any other equipment.
