What is a steel square stopper?
Steel square stoppers are one of the supporting members of concrete railway bridges (installed on girders and abutments/piers), and are used as a set of fixed stoppers and movable stoppers.
The horizontal force along the bridge axis is absorbed by the fixed stopper, while the force perpendicular to the axis is handled by both the fixed and movable stoppers.
Features
Shortened delivery time (comparison of our painting specifications)
Aluminum/magnesium alloy thermal spraying shortens the rust prevention treatment of steel square stoppers by about a month compared to traditional painting.
Improving construction workability and quality
The steel square stopper is installed on site by filling the steel pipe with concrete.
Conventional products have a small filling port, which makes work difficult, and it is also difficult to check the filling level, which affects strength, from the small filling port.
Therefore, we solved the above problem by maximizing the filling port (equivalent to the cross section of the steel pipe).
Significantly reduces man-hours after installation
In order to position the receiving box of the steel square stopper on the movable side, in conventional products, the steel pipe body and receiving box were fixed by welding with a temporary fixing plate.
Therefore, after installation, it was necessary to cut the temporary fixing plate and paint the cut part, which increased the number of man-hours on site.
Therefore, we have adopted a structure in which the receiving box is positioned using bolts with slits, and the slits are cut by the horizontal force of girder contraction, reducing the number of man-hours on site.
