The YKS-AHD0234MP is a compact security camera for AHD (Analog High Definition) security and surveillance camera systems that can easily convert surveillance footage to full HD quality. It can be easily installed because it uses the same cables as analog security cameras, and if you are already using analog security cameras, you can continue to use the existing coaxial cables.

Equipped with a 2 megapixel CMOS image sensor
The YKS-AHD0234MP features a 1/2.8-inch 2-megapixel CMOS image sensor, enabling it to capture high-definition images at 2 million pixels. It clearly captures even the finer details that analog security camera images cannot display.

Adopts a cone-type pinhole lens in an ultra-compact coin-sized body
The YKS-AHD0234MP is an ultra-compact coin-sized camera with a diameter of 19 mm and a depth of 32 mm. By using an f3.7mm cone-type pinhole lens, the exposure of the lens can be minimized, enabling surveillance with increased secrecy.
*The diameter is the size of a coin. The depth of the main body is 32 mm, and including the cable, the depth should be about 42 mm at a reasonable bending angle.

The YKS-AHD0234MP is an ultra-compact camera with a diameter of 19mm and a depth of 32mm. The extremely compact body makes the camera less noticeable, allowing for highly confidential surveillance.

Back of the unit/ Connection part
The cable comes out from the back of the main unit as shown in the picture. It is about 370mm from the camera part to the branching part, and about 130mm from the branching part to the end of the terminal, so the total cable length is about 500mm. At the end it branches into a power input terminal and a video output terminal (BNC). In addition, the back of the main unit has a 1/4UNC tripod screw hole, so it can be fixed with a bracket that supports tripod screws.

The YKS-AHD0234MP is a 2 megapixel (2 million pixels) coin-sized ultra-compact camera for AHD (Analog High Defenition) security and surveillance camera systems. The body is a compact housing with a diameter of 19 mm and a depth of 32 mm, making it suitable for situations where you want to install a security camera without it standing out. In addition, the lens uses an f3.7mm cone-type pinhole lens, allowing for highly confidential surveillance shooting with minimal exposure to the lens.
In terms of specific performance, the image sensor is equipped with a 1/2.9-inch 2-megapixel CMOS image sensor, enabling full HD image quality shooting. The output resolution is 1920 x 1080, or 1080p, and it can clearly show areas that were not possible to distinguish with conventional analog security cameras. The lens uses an f3.7mm cone-type pinhole lens, allowing for more confidential shooting. In addition, the larger image sensor size allows for a slightly wider angle than previous models, making it possible to shoot relatively wide images even with a pinhole lens.
In terms of functionality, it is equipped with automatic functions such as electronic iris, AGC, and 3DNR, so it has a certain degree of image correction function and can shoot in good conditions in bright environments. However, since it does not have an OSD function, it is not possible to make detailed settings, and since it does not have an electronic sensitivity increase function, it is not good at shooting in low light conditions.
My impression from actually shooting with it is that the image quality is significantly improved compared to the HD model, and it took good pictures both indoors and outdoors in environments with sufficient lighting. Although some parts of the image seem a little dark, it was possible to take good pictures even with an illumination of just under 5 Lux, so it will be sufficient in environments with a certain amount of lighting. However, since it does not have a low-light shooting function such as a digital slow shutter, it is not good at shooting in low light, and for practical use, a minimum subject illumination of 3 Lux to 5 Lux or more is probably necessary. It is possible to shoot in rooms with slightly reduced lighting, but please note that it cannot be used with the illumination of only a miniature light bulb.
The YKS-AHD0234MP has some negative aspects when it comes to its low-light shooting capabilities, but when you take into account its ultra-compact coin-sized body size and pinhole lens, I think it has sufficient shooting capabilities. Although it is not suitable for shooting in low-light conditions, it is an AHD security camera that is suitable in environments where there is a certain amount of lighting, when you do not want the security camera to stand out, or when you want to monitor with increased secrecy.
